Folks, the Captain likes to leave specific beer styles to the troops, but I had to step on Admiral Ales toes for this one, as Firestone’s Double Barrel Ale needs to be spoken about. The stats are 5 malts, “English and Slovenian Hops” (sounds exotic, tastes divine), English yeast all fermented in oak barrels (which the name may have tipped you off to). It has a dark amber color, a taste that will make you say “Jesus! This tastes great!” (unless you… y’know… suck) and man… it’s a fine brew from your first furtive sniff to your last sip of the twelve pack. I recommend it for drinking with friends or while watching the history channel alone (or with friends… but they always chatter and mumble while Hitler is doing his awful things or ancient civilizations are collapsing). So TRY IT or if you have already BUY IT again. Carry on, you beautiful beer drinkers.
