REVIEW: Farmhouse “hayloft pils” - european style pilsner? yes, european style pilsner

Hello beer people. Today, I’ve taken a step into the refreshing world of pilsner. And farmhouse’s “hayloft pils” (they use all lowercase… I mean no disrespect) is certainly that–refreshing… and crisp with a hint of complexity. Most pilsners (think Bud Light if you must..) are indeed rather refreshing at the right time, but this one offers a little bit of wheat bread tastiness. Just a bit, but hey… it’s a pilsner so we’ll take what we can get. It hails from Gilroy, CA and… Jesus!… according to the bottle alcohol can cause health problems… oh well, forget that part. So all in all, nothing to stab a drifter over, but something to grab if you want some nice, easy sipping beer on a hot, Gilroy day.
