REVIEW: Stella Artois
By Lieutenant Lager on Aug 22, 2007 in Brew Reviews
Ahh… party like its 1999…and then go ahead and pretend your hip, sexy date, Stella, is as cool as Heineken was back then. Yep, I said it; Stella Artois is the new “trendy import” of our day and age. Its odd say Stella lacks character; the old girl is over 640 years old. But don’t be fooled by her beautiful golden exterior and her champagne fizziness, Stella looks better than she tastes. That said, keep in mind that she looks pretty damn good.
At the end of the night, Stella is alright in my book. This pale lager is perfect for the Summer. There is enough taste up front to satisfy the initial craving, and her nice clean finish makes her go down easy. Stella might not hold up on her own as a sipping beer, but you won’t mind if a few of her sisters tag along with her. Hell, this smooth old lady might even teach you a few tricks.
– Plus, check out a funny Viking commercial after the break.

Ballsy, Lieutenant… and I’d bust you down to Ensign, but dammit… you’re right and I agree. Stella is good. Very good in the scheme of things, but what the hell is with all the buzz?
