REVIEWISH: St. Pauli Girl

Um. OK. See my post from a few days ago on Spaten Pils and leave out a few of the more positive aspects. Thus the “ish.” St. Pauli Girl is not unique. It’s a bit hoppy, it has a very dry, short finish. The aroma is very light hop, very slight malt. The flavor is simple. OK, so it’s very refreshing when it’s cold and you’re hot (like steaming pot of stew hot, not like Fatty Arbuckle hot). But the only reason I tend to sip this plain Jane lager is that every one in a while the sneaky Petes from a store by us drop the price to so low I can’t not resist not resisting buying it. But here’s the real point of the post: they sure updated their St. Pauli GIRL didn’t they? This new girl is a real catch—a mover and a spring chicken and such. But I feel bad for the old girl. Actually I have no opinion. I guess that wasn’t the point of the post. It was more like the dull part off to the side. Like under a blue tarp behind the house. It’s mulch, and yes, I’m going to spread it. I know but it was raining. Well I was busy that day! I’m going out. Out. Yes to a bar dammit!!!
