REVIEW: St. Bernardus Belgian Wit
By General German on Mar 7, 2008 in Brew Reviews

Friends, just tried a terrific Belgian Wit called St. Bernardus. Named after St. Bernard, who was a total badass in the Crusades, this beer is an exemplary beverage for its holy namesake. Now, I love a wit in the early spring. So many terrific examples are out there, and this is absolutely one of them. A little more rare and pricey than its neighbor, Hoegaarden, this has a light and almost sour flavor. The sour-yet-light character and cloudy color are a result of the unique Wit yeast strain. This is simply one of the most unique beers, period, and a nice reminder that Spring has Sprung. Enjoy!

You mean Spring has a boner? eww.
