There I was in Trader Joe's yesterday, buying potstickers and Marinara sauce (staples in our household, not at the same time), when I happened upon an odor of a man who had not bathed in five days. I followed this scent to the beer aisle, where I encountered a disheveled man rummaging the beer bottles (and making a helluva racket). Standing my distance, I was especially intrigued when he emitted an ecstatic "Ummmmmggghhh!" upon successful location of...a bottle of Stockyard Oatmeal Stout. He bought _one_, asking a fellow store patron for a quarter to help him out.

I pondered this for a while afterwards: if homeless men are indeed craving stouts over, say, a forty, has microbrew finally penetrated all market segments?
