Good one! Nothing wrong with an honest beer free of gimmicky lime and salt or cherry berry soufflé flavors. They sponsor our band with free kegs so gotta love 'em for that. Have you tried the Kiltlifter? What'd you think?

Ah yes, the mystery that is Anchor Steam. There is definitely some confusion surrounding the name but on a brewery tour, they said the steam was from the large batches of wort cooling in the open air. Whatever the reason, it's a fantastic brew. Do you consider it the quintessential West Coast beer or does Sierra Nevada hold that title?

i remember that trip to the fabled quebec city, quebec (french) canada. a tour guide was talking while walking backwards and he fell into a bush. why didn't one of us say anything? it was clear he was about to hit the damn bush. perhaps we were slinet because it was great. i remember that beer, too. not sure my youthful palate could handle the madness back then, though.

Well met on the last point. With my bad batches I try to keep them for as long as I can and try them every few weeks. Normally, at least with Wits, they get better and better but never good enough to really enjoy, and I end up mournfully pouring them out for countless homies.

General! Did you retire all 22 oz. of this monster brew yourself? Well done if so. If not, no loss of face there. Dogfish Head beers are so often, in a word, apeshit. They're madmen over there.
