Happy Valentine's Day, beer lovers! Today I am reporting on a new beer offered at Alexandria's Bilbo Baggin's--a beer lover's restaurant if there ever were one--Eggenberg Natur trüb. While not German, this is an Austrian beer better known via its Pilsner, which is extremely crisp and dry--almost too much, if that makes any sense. Eggenberg then devised a better, more inclusive style--its Natur trüb ("unfiltered brew") hasn't undergone the filtration to produce the crisp, clear flavor of its big brother.
